Legacies

A lasting gift for your church

Remembering the Church in your will is a wonderful way both to thank God for the blessings you have received and also to help the Church meet the needs of future generations.

At St Mary’s, we welcome all gifts in wills, however large or small, and we promise to use your gift to make a difference in our parish. Our PCC policy is to use legacies to help fund significant projects in the church and parish.

Since circumstances change over the years, church members are encouraged to leave gifts in their wills for the general purposes of the parish. The PCC will then discuss with executors the most appropriate use of the gift in the light of current projects and the donor's known areas of interest in the church (e.g. children and youth, music, buildings).

A gift in your will can make a lasting difference by enabling St Mary’s Church to achieve something which it would not normally be able to do, so please consider whether you may want to leave a legacy.

All donors names will automatically be added to our book of remembrance.

If you would like to talk to Fr David or one of the church wardens please contact us

Thank you for considering including a gift to the church in your will.
